On 64 bit Windows, you may choose to install either 32 bit or 64 bit Forte.
On 32 bit Windows, you may only install 32 bit Forte.
Forte can only interact and use plugins that have the same bit width as Forte unless you use a "plugin bridge" just as jBridge (available separately.) Forte also needs audio and MIDI drivers of the same bit width.
Forte Rack files are the same between 32 and 64 bit installations and you should be able to move a rack back and forth between a 32 bit and 64 bit install of the same version of Forte.
